We often think of mental health as being either well or ill but in fact mental health is a continuum which we all move back and forth from healthier to more unwell throughout our lives.

Mental wellbeing is the overall state or sense of self that we can access and includes resilience and good mental health.

 

We work with you to promote and support overall wellbeing. 

Each individual’s journey is different because each person's life experiences and circumstances are unique to them. Improving our understanding of what impacts our own mental wellbeing, both positively and negatively, can help to build confidence and resilience to tap into better mental wellbeing.

  • We begin with an initial call where you will be asked a few questions about your mental health and wellbeing, and to ensure we are the right place for you and that we can help.

    If we feel we are a good fit, we will send you an assessment form and arrange an appointment with one of our Lifestyle Medicine trained Doctors. This can be face to face or online.

    Please Note - If you are in a place of extreme distress, and having active thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please access the emergency services via your own GP practice. We are not an emergency service.

  • Lifestyle is always the first conversation, as key lifestyle changes can positively impact your illness/condition/wellbeing, and our Lifestyle Prescriptions are entirely bespoke to you.

    To bring your Lifestyle Prescription into reality, we can add in extra support with our trusted team of professional associates. They work with us to help you succeed using the power of lifestyle changes.

    Our associates are specialists in psychiatry, sleep therapy, mindfulness, yoga, physiotherapy, health and wellness coaching, clinical psychology, personal training and nutrition.

  • We have follow-up support built into the Lifestyle Prescription, and the timing of this can be tailored to you.

    With our Doctor-led team and trusted specialist associates you can opt to create your own bespoke package. This can be discussed and arranged by the Lifestyle Medicine Doctor you consult with.

    Payment plans are available to help you manage this important investment of your health and wellbeing with us.

  • Yes, we can also arrange or advise on blood tests to screen for other causes of your symptoms as needed.

  • At Flourish For Life, we offer you the time to be listened to, far longer than you would receive from your GP.

    Following consultation, our Lifestyle Doctors will create a full treatment plan with a recommended Lifestyle Prescription and Programme.

    If we think it is safe for you to do so, we can create a personalised de-prescribing plan for some medications.

    We can work alongside you and your GP, and if needed, we can arrange a referral to a Consultant Psychiatrist to help with more complex de-prescribing.
